Designer's Notes
Elevate your space with warmth, light, and a tailored fragrance blend. Each of these hand-poured candles is made by women through the Downtown Women’s Center in Los Angeles, supporting their journey to break the cycle of chronic homelessness. Through this initiative, formerly homeless women are empowered to rebuild self-esteem, discover new talents, and develop valuable skills. The 10-ounce candle makes a thoughtful accent for home or to gift.

Care
- Wipe clean with dry cloth.
- On the first burn, ensure the melted wax spreads the entire surface of the candle before extinguishing.
- Always trim the wick to a quarter of an inch—removing any dust, debris, or trimmings between burns.
- Candles should be placed on a heat-safe surface in a well-ventilated space and extinguished with a snuffer.
- Avoid expending all of the wax before replacing to protect the integrity of the container.
- Check packaging for any additional instructions.
Artist Bio
The Downtown Women’s Center in Los Angeles is dedicated to empowering women transitioning out of homelessness. Through MADE by DWC, women gain paid employment, hands-on job training, and the skills and momentum that support long-term opportunity. Each candle is hand-poured in small batches, reflecting the center’s mission to create pathways to stability while bringing meaningful craft into your home.
